"5 Reasons to Incorporate Dance into Your Yoga Practice"

I miss it, I love it and I am gonna bring it back one day! I promise you this!


I created dancing yoga about 8 years ago and I LOVE IT SO MUCH because if you have a hard time with the slowness/stillness of YOGA or your MIND WONDERS TOO much during your YOGA practice then this is for you!

** I AM TWO classes away from my first NURSING degree and I could not be more excited, I LOVE it and I know this is my calling. However, I will not only be using this to help others in the medical field I am also doing this to help my clients in the wellness industry. My goal always has been and will continue to be PREVENTATIVE care. I want to help you on your wellness journey NOW so you don't need me in the clinic or hospital setting! I am passionate and excited about this adventure. It has not been easy but I see the bigger picture and I follow God's lead each and every day.

  1. Dancing Yoga makes you feel free and alive just like dance does. If you are struggling to "get into" Yoga this is a great way to make the class go by quickly.

  2. If Yoga does not feel like a "real workout" to you, like you didn't get enough, this is a great way to end your class dripping sweat with a mega calorie shred!

  3. Adding dance into your Yoga practice helps mentally raise your confidence. If all of the moves in Yoga intimidate you this is a great way to not have to really think about or even know all of the Yoga moves at all and just follow the musical flow!

  4. People say dance is much like meditation. If you are having a hard time meditating and you want to start a meditation practice this is a wonderful way to begin. Meditation is really just about finding the present moment and LIVING FULLY IN IT. During dance YOU ARE there my friend. I promise you! Your mind will be so focused on the next dance move that you won't be wondering off into anxious thought valley at all! Taking your mind off of worry for even just a few minutes a day has SO MANY benefits! It takes practice but it is worth it!

  5. Last but not least. Stretching after small cardio segments helps to prevent injury, helps move negative energy through and out of the body and helps to create space for NEW POSTIVE energy in your body, in your life! AND WHEN YOU ARE FILLED WITH POSITIVITY THE POSSIBLITIES FOR YOU ARE ENDLESS!
