If you are 35+ and notice a little extra around the middle, I TOTALLY get it! I was in the same boat and still struggle sometimes!

PLEASE READ DON'T JUST LOOK AT THE MENU which is posted in our group JOIN HERE!....the number one culprit to our bloating in our 40+AGE is THE SALT!!!!!!!
"The saying 'where salt goes, water follows' highlights how sodium, a component of salt, draws water into the body. Consumption of salty foods results in sodium entering the bloodstream and extracting water from cells, thereby elevating blood fluid levels. This process can contribute to hypertension, placing additional strain on the heart and heightening the likelihood of developing heart disease in the long run."
I never realized how much salt was affecting my bloat until I took it out of my diet at age 42!!!! I knew, we all know, process foods are not great for us but it is astounding how it impacts us to live on these foods as we age. You may say you don't eat many processed foods- I thought the same! But, even those protein bars, shakes "healthy snacks" - look at the salt/sodium in them!
Ok, I am not asking you to do this for eternity- I JUST WANT YOU TO SEE the difference, then slowly think the next time you pull a snack out if it is worth the bloat you feel after.
I did include rice cakes (NOT THE CHEESE, OR SALTED ONES!) because we need a lil something and it seemed to not react to my body. Also- the cheese and turkey have some salt- but I we need a little- JUST DON'T ADD SALT TO ANYTHING!) you will get used to it! I used the Ms. Dash seasoning with no salt!
Next! The cucumber water is a debloater to! I mixed ahead....slice a cucumber, juice of a few lemons and I added a little ginger. Mix this in a jug of water keep in fridge if you can and keep refilling- try 8-10 glasses a day! The warm lemon water three times a day ( I usually do this before meals) and I add a TBS of apple cider vinegar to this as well.
Don't worry to much about measuring food eat until your full (except the cheese 1 oz a day). IT IS ONLY FOUR DAYS TO JUST SEE YOUR BODIES REACTION. THEN WE DECIDE WHAT FOODS TO ADD BACK or how often.
FIZZY DRINKS CAUSE BLOAT! I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS THEY JUST DO! RID THEM FOR A FEW DAYS.
TRY TO STOP EATING A FEW HOURS BEFORE BED- WE DON'T NEED ENERGY TO GO TO SLEEP. EAT WHEN YOUR HUNGRY STOP WHEN YOUR FULL.
RAW VEGGIES CAN CAUSE EXCESS GAS AND BLOAT TRY TO COOK THEM DOWN A BIT IF YOU want to eat them. Veggies are great!! But can react to some of our tummies in a negative way.
WHEAT! not too be confused with whole grain. Oats are yummy and filling (I found protein oats at walmart and add a little to my regular old fashioned oats.) IF you need sweetness cut up a date and add that ALSO WATCH YOUR ALMOND OR PEANUT BUTTER FOR ADDED SALT- I GET MY ALMOND BUTTER AT ALDI AND IT HAS NO SALT. Look at labels if it says WHEAT its out! Wheat can cause bloat to many of us and we don't even know it! Just see how your body does.
ALCOHOL of course we know this causes bloat I don't need to discuss it! This is not forever FOUR DAYS!!
As far as the workout! Try to get a workout in daily....even a walk. I break up this workout and do the pilates (abs,glutes, arms) in the morning and stretches before bed. Also you don't even have to use weights for arms- you can work them as you walk. Maybe 10-20 minutes of just walking- it will make a difference! YOU CAN FIND FULL WORKOUT IN OUR GROUP CLICK HERE.
REMEMBER THIS IS YOUR JOURNEY PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BODY!! AGING CAN BE SOMETHING WE COMPLAIN ABOUT OR SOMETHING WE GET EXCITED ABOUT!
