Monday Motivation

Just a friendly reminder:

- Make sure to drink half your weight in ounces of water daily.

- Have 8 ounces of water before each meal and before going for seconds.

- Engage in physical activity that you enjoy every day.

- Include a serving of raw vegetables in your mid-morning and late afternoon snacks.

- Start your day with warm lemon water (you can add ACV if you like) once or twice.

- Remember, your present is a result of your past thoughts, so focus on positive thoughts to shape your future. Even during tough times, it's essential to maintain a positive mindset and avoid dwelling on negative thoughts. Trust me (More details here).

This week, I anticipate having similar meals repeatedly. Why? Having fewer options means fewer temptations. Focus on a few delicious recipes to enjoy throughout the week. By doing so, you will avoid getting distracted by unhealthy junk food that could hinder your health goals. However, don't limit yourself to just lettuce and carrots. Following an overly restrictive diet is unsustainable. Opt for realistic meal plans with nutritious options instead.

My preferred choices...

Homemade Coleslaw

Grab a bag of shredded slaw in the produce section

Mix in a few tablespoons of mayo and a teaspoon of mustard.

Add a dash of celery seed, salt and pepper, oh and a couple capfuls of vinegar and BOOM!! you have healthier coleslaw then the sugar loaded kind you buy. MY KIDS LOVE THIS!

Buddha Bowl

1/2 Cup brown rice

1/2 Cup black beans

1-2 Cups broccoli steamed

2 tablespoons salsa

1/2 avocado

2 tablespoons hummus

(I eat this EVERY SINGLE DAY) love it

Oats n Berries

As you know I have a granola addiction but while I am cleansing it is a no no, however I can still have OATMEAL ...WHooo Hoooo!

3/4 cup dried old fashioned oats

1 cup blueberries

dash of stevia

optional 1/2 Cup plain yogurt (almond or other based)

Add all except yogurt to a pot on the stove cover with water and bring to boil stirring almost constantly. Take off heat after boil and let set. Top with yogurt.

Boring? Maybe to you. But, I love these meals and look forward to them everyday. If I start to get sick of one I will substitute it with something else I love.....

That is the golden ticket friends--- EAT FOOD YOU LIKE..no LOVE!

WORKOUT FOR THE WEEK....
