Just Keep Moving

There’s something about Sunday that makes me want to slow down for a minute.

Not because everything in life is figured out.

Honestly, quite the opposite.

Sometimes Sunday comes around and I’m still carrying questions from the week before. What am I supposed to be doing? Am I making the right decisions? Am I giving enough? Am I doing too much? What does this next season of my life look like?

And maybe you’ve asked some of those same questions.

❤️Midlife can be a strange place. We can feel incredibly grateful for the life we have while still wondering what comes next.

I know I do.

But lately, I’ve been reminding myself of something simple:

I don’t have to have the whole path figured out to take the next step.

I just have to keep moving.

❤️

This week, I’m thinking about the idea of trusting God with the next step.🙏

We can spend so much energy trying to figure out the entire plan that we forget to live the day we’re actually in.

Maybe God isn’t asking us to know what happens five years from now.

Maybe He’s simply asking us to be faithful with what is right in front of us.

Take care of your family.

Do your work with integrity.

Move your body.

Take care of yourself.

Love the people around you.

Use the gifts you’ve been given.

And when you don’t know what’s next?

👉Trust that you don’t have to know yet.

💭 REFLECT

Ask yourself:

What am I trying to control that I need to release?

Maybe it’s your career.

Maybe it’s your children.

Maybe it’s someone’s choices.

Maybe it’s your body.

Maybe it’s your timeline.

Maybe it’s the expectation that by this age, you should have everything figured out.

I’m learning that surrender doesn’t mean giving up.

It means doing my part and trusting God with the part I can’t control.

And that’s a pretty freeing way to live.

🥊 MOVE

Today’s workout is a Kickboxing-Only Class!

This is part of my Age Well With Addie Combo Classes, where we may mix things up from week to week with kickboxing, strength, Pilates, and other types of movement.

But today?

We’re just kicking and punching our way into a new week! 🥊❤️ (workout below)

And here’s your reminder:

You don’t have to exercise perfectly. You just have to move.

Modify the punches.

Take a break.

March instead of jumping.

Go slower.

Make it your own.

The goal isn’t to punish your body for what you ate this weekend or to earn your food.

The goal is to take care of the body that carries you through your life.

That’s what aging well means to me.

Not looking younger.

Not chasing perfection.

Not trying to become someone else.

Feeling strong enough to live the life I already have.

🥔 Sunday Reset Recipe: Crispy Loaded Breakfast Potatoes

Simple • High Protein • Vegetarian • Family-Friendly

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups diced potatoes

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup black beans, drained and rinsed

  • ¼ avocado

  • 1–2 tbsp salsa

  • 1 tbsp chopped green onion

  • Optional: spinach, tomatoes, or peppers

  • Garlic powder, pepper, and your favorite seasoning

Directions

  1. Dice the potatoes and roast or air-fry until crispy.

  2. Warm the black beans.

  3. Scramble or cook the eggs to your liking.

  4. Add potatoes to a bowl and top with beans and eggs.

  5. Add avocado, salsa, and green onion.

  6. Finish with your favorite seasonings.

❤️ Sunday Reset Tip:

Make extra potatoes while you’re cooking. They can become the base for an easy lunch later in the week—just add beans, eggs, tofu, or whatever protein you have on hand.

The goal isn’t perfect eating. It’s having simple food available so you’re more likely to nourish yourself when life gets busy.

❤️ START THE WEEK STRONG

Before you rush into Monday, take a few minutes and think about what you actually need this week.

Maybe you need more movement.

Maybe you need more rest.

Maybe you need to stop saying yes to everything.

Maybe you need to spend more time with your family.

Maybe you need to laugh more.

❤️Maybe you need to stop worrying so much about what everyone else is doing.

Or maybe you simply need to remind yourself:

I’m doing okay.

You don’t have to completely reinvent your life this week.

Just take the next right step.

Then another.

And another.

God doesn’t need you to see the whole staircase.

Sometimes you just need enough light for the step you’re standing on.

So this Sunday, let’s release what we can’t control, be grateful for where we are, and trust that what’s meant for us will unfold in the right time.

And then…

Let’s move. ❤️

This Week’s Reminder

I am strong.

I am capable.

I am worthy.

I trust God’s timing.

I don’t have to have it all figured out.

I will take the next step.

Now grab your water, put on your sneakers, and come kickbox with me. 🥊

Let’s age well together.
