How do you do that?
Slow the heck down.

Why are you in such a hurry? Where are you going? What will happen if you don't get there?
Can we all just face the facts people? We are all going to the same place in the end. Why are we trying so hard to out run each other to get there?
We are human being's not human doing's. So, why can't we just be content with being then? Why do we have to DO DO DO?
Here is my take. It is easier to be busy "doing" all the time than to deal. It is way easier to numb your emotions than to sit in them. How long though? How long can you create busyness in your life so that you never have to think about what is really bothering you?
I am not saying live in the past. I am not trying to take you to a place where you are saddened. I am just trying to get you there by being still and being ok with the pain that once was... then to be able to release it.
Or the opposite could be true too. You have become so busy planning the future that you have lost touch with the NOW. The NOW, the only place that exists. The future is just a plan that you are making in your mind in the NOW...with out the NOW (aka present moment) the FUTURE plan is just a thought in your head--- So, why are you so anxious about it then? Why are you spending hours upon hours planning and worrying about what is next and not fully taking in what is NOW.
Do you sit and just look out the window? Do you stop to "smell the roses"? Do you hug your kids for longer than they ask? Do you have real conversations, with real people, in person? With loved one's? Do you read books (actual books made from paper)? Do you ever just say thank you for no reason- to yourself- about yourself? Or are you too busy "doing" that you forgot how to just "BE"?
The best diet advice ever?
Get in touch with you again. The only way to do that is to get into touch with nature. Remember who you are. Who you really are- not your past definition or your future hopes... get in touch with your BEING in the NOW.
With that... an intentional life will evolve.
With and intentional life....NO DIET will ever be required.
