🌿 Sunday Reset: Trust the Timing
Sunday Reset: Trust the Timing
You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
🙏There is something about midlife that makes you stop and ask yourself, “Am I where I’m supposed to be?”
Maybe you thought your life would look different by now. Maybe you’re waiting for something to happen—a new job, a healthier body, a relationship, a change in your circumstances, or simply a feeling that you’re finally “where you’re supposed to be.”
But you aren’t behind.🙋♀️
❤️You are exactly where you need to be for this season.
I’ve been thinking a lot about trusting God’s timing. Not because everything always happens when we want it to, but because we can’t always see what God is doing while we’re in the middle of it.
🐾Sometimes the only thing we’re asked to do is take the next right step.
We don’t have to know every step after that.
🙏Trust God’s Will for Your Life
I don’t believe trusting God means sitting back and doing nothing.
I think it means doing the best you can with where you are right now, while trusting that your path doesn’t have to unfold according to your timeline.
❤️You can pray for something and still be patient.
❤️You can have goals and still surrender the outcome.
❤️You can want more for your life without believing that your current life isn’t enough.
❤️And you can work toward becoming healthier, stronger, happier, and more fulfilled without constantly feeling like you should already be there.
🙏Your job isn’t to control the entire path. Your job is to take the next right step.
Maybe the small things you’re doing today are preparing you for something you can’t see yet.
So instead of asking, “Why am I not there yet?”
Try asking:
“What can I do today that moves me in the direction I want to go?”
That’s a much more powerful question.
🦋This Week’s Reset
Take a few minutes this week to remind yourself:
🌸I don’t have to have everything figured out. I can trust God’s timing even when I can’t see the whole picture.
If you’re feeling behind, remember that someone else’s timeline isn’t your timeline.
😎Your life doesn’t expire because you didn’t accomplish everything by 30, 40, or even 50.
There is still so much life ahead of you.
Before you rush into another week, ask yourself:
Where am I trying to force something that may simply need time?
Am I comparing my timeline to someone else’s?
What is one thing I can do this week that supports the life I want?
What would change if I trusted that I’m not behind?
Where can I practice patience with myself?
You don’t need to fix your entire life this week.
🏃♀️➡️Just take the next right step.
Dance Your Way Into the Week 💃
This week’s workout is my cardio dance class, and I’m keeping the message simple:
JUST MOVE.
You don’t need the perfect workout.
You don’t need to be the strongest, fastest, or most coordinated person in the room.
And you definitely don’t have to exercise to punish your body or “make up” for what you ate.
Sometimes you just need to turn on the music and move.
🔥Dance. Sweat. Laugh. Get your heart pumping. Shake off the stress from the week and remind yourself that your body is still capable of doing amazing things.
Especially in midlife, movement isn’t about chasing the body you had 20 years ago.
It’s about building a body that can carry you confidently into the years ahead.
▶️So press play, have some fun, and move because you GET to—not because you have to.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to keep showing up.
EAT: Keep It Simple
One of the biggest things I’m focusing on right now is making healthy eating easier.
We don’t always need another complicated meal plan with 27 recipes, a grocery list a mile long, and completely different meals every day.
Sometimes we need the opposite.
🥗Fewer decisions. Better habits. Repeat.
If you’re trying to improve your eating habits, try eating a few simple meals that you actually enjoy and don’t mind repeating.
For example:
Breakfast:
Eggs + fruit
Lunch:
A big salad + beans or tofu
Dinner:
Vegetables + beans, tofu, or seafood + a simple carbohydrate
Snack, if you’re hungry:
Fruit, nuts, hummus and vegetables, or another simple option you enjoy.
😊 You can change things up when you want to, but you don’t have to reinvent your diet every Monday.
Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.
🌸Sometimes making fewer food decisions makes it easier to stay consistent.
And consistency matters so much more than one “perfect” day.
✔️Start Where You Are
This is really what my Sunday Reset is about.
Not becoming a completely different person by next Sunday.
Not starting another extreme diet.
Not exercising seven days a week because you feel guilty.
Not comparing yourself to another woman.
Not wondering why your life doesn’t look like someone else’s.
Instead:
Trust.
Reflect.
Move.
Eat simply.
❤️Take the next step.
And then do it again tomorrow.
Maybe you’re not behind.
Maybe you’re being prepared.
Maybe the season you’re in is teaching you something you’ll need for the season that’s coming.
We don’t always get to know the whole plan.
But we can choose what we do with today.
So wherever you are in midlife, meet yourself there.
Take care of yourself there.
Move your body there.
Nourish yourself there.
And trust that your next chapter doesn’t require you to have everything figured out.
You just have to keep going.
❤️ Never give up on yourself. You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to keep showing up.
